Healthcare data cabling and fiber installation

A dependable network starts with dependable cabling. Business Communication Solutions installs and troubleshoots Ethernet, fiber optic, and telephone cabling for healthcare offices and facilities in Austin and Houston.

Plan cable runs around your facility

Reception desks, administrative offices, staff work areas, access points, IP phones, and security equipment need the right connections in the right locations. BCS reviews floor plans, cable paths, network closets, and equipment requirements before installation.

For new construction, remodeling, or expansion, bring cabling planning into the project early. We can coordinate access and work areas with your facility team to reduce disruption and avoid cable routes that become difficult to reach after finishes are installed.

Ethernet, fiber optic, and telephone cabling

  • Ethernet cabling: Cat5e, Cat6, or Cat6A installation and upgrades based on the application and project requirements.
  • Fiber optic cabling: backbone connections between network closets or buildings, with termination, splicing, and troubleshooting as scoped.
  • Telephone cabling: cable-pair identification and termination for compatible analog phones and channel-bank or gateway deployments.
  • Equipment connections: cabling for wireless access points, IP phones, cameras, and compatible access control equipment.

We identify the connection and power requirements for each endpoint rather than assuming every cable can support every application.

Evaluate existing cabling before you replace it

Older facilities may have useful telephone or network cabling already installed. BCS can assess cable condition, terminations, labeling, and suitability for the proposed equipment.

Usable telephone pairs may support analog room phones through compatible interfaces. That does not mean the same wiring supports Ethernet or PoE. We evaluate each application separately so cabling reuse is based on testing and compatibility.

When replacement is needed, we can plan a phased approach around the areas and devices being upgraded.

Network closets, testing, and labeling

Organized network closets make future support easier. Project scope can include racks, patch panels, cable management, copper and fiber terminations, and identification of cable runs.

We test installed connections and document labeling as agreed for the project. If a specific certification report is required, include that requirement in the estimate request so the correct testing scope can be quoted.

Intermittent connections, damaged jacks, and unidentified room cables are also reasons to call BCS for troubleshooting.

What to provide for a cabling estimate

Send the location, floor plan if available, approximate cable count, equipment locations, network closet locations, existing wiring information, and preferred work schedule. Include any difficult cable routes, occupied areas, or access restrictions.

BCS will review the scope and determine whether a site walk-through is needed. We can coordinate the cabling with your phone, network, and camera project.

Plan your healthcare technology project

Tell BCS about your facility, current systems, and the improvements you need. We will help define a practical scope for installation, troubleshooting, or ongoing support in Austin or Houston.
